| Oxide ore from the Sabará above ground mine is processed at a rate of approximately 1,500 tonnes per day in a CIC (carbon-in-column) plant.
Location
The Sabará operation is located 40 km east of Belo Horizonte by paved road. Belo Horizonte is a city of over 4 million people and considered to be the mining capital of Brazil.
Proven and Probable Reserves
242,100 tonnes with an average grade of 1.53 grams per tonne containing 11,910 ounces of gold.
Measured and Indicated Resources (include mineral reserves above)
2,146,400 tonnes with an average grade of 3.83 grams per tonne containing 264,220 ounces of gold.
Inferred Resources
1,269,000 tonnes with an average grade of 3.33 grams per tonne containing 135,970 ounces of gold.
Projected Annual Production
Approximately 20,000 ounces of gold in 2009 and averaging around 20,000 ounces of gold per year through 2013.
Expansion Plan
In addition to the existing oxide ore zone which is nearing depletion, Jaguar has commenced mining at a higher grade zone referred to as Serra Paraíso located approximately 20 km from the Sabará processing plant where the ore will be hauled by truck for treatment. Once the oxide resources at Serra Paraíso are depleted, Jaguar expects to dismantle the Sabará processing plant and relocate it to a site near the Paciência operation to process known oxide zones in the area.
